Licensing

The laws of the State of New Jersey are very clear for people performing electrical work. Electrical contractors need to be licensed.  Anyone working for a licensed electrical contractor like MGM must be a legal resident and an “on-the-books” paid employee of the company covered by MGM’s required liability insurance. This is to protect you, the consumer.

Therefore, unlike other construction trade companies, MGM cannot and does not hire and pay “independent contractors” or “day-workers”– paid per project or per part – to perform work on your property.  MGM field electricians are trained rigorously to comply with national and local municipal code requirements for quality of workmanship and safety.

MGM’s electricians are paid per hour and work under contract directly for MGM.  MGM’s mission is to keep its reliability and quality high and its prices fair, based on the realities of performing electrical work professionally and legally.
